logo PNG Image 2We offer a number of peer support and friendship groups which provide an opportunity to meet people in a supportive environment. The groups are informal and welcoming and are usually filled with warmth and laughter.

Our Support Group members have weekly raffles which help to pay for day trips throughout the year which are greatly enjoyed!

Happy Mondays

This is our newest peer support group which meets at the Widnes Centre between 5pm and 7pm on a Monday evening, it’s perfect for those who can’t make our regular day time groups due to work or family commitments.

Hugs Club

Hugs Club meets weekly at the Support Centre on Thursday afternoons from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm, the group is open to anyone who’s life has been touched by cancer in any way, whether that’s as a patient or as a carer.  It’s a very busy and friendly group filled with laughter and chat.

Bosom Buddies

Bosom Buddies is our breast care support group which celebrates its 15th Anniversary this year this group is open to anyone who has or has had breast cancer.  The program includes arts and crafts, speakers and subsidised day trips.  The group meets at Trinity Church in Peelhouse Lane on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 7pm til 9pm.

GOG’s Club

Our “Gentlemen Only Group” is for men who have been affected by cancer in any way. It’s a weekly opportunity to have a chat, a joke and generally put the world to rights! They meet at the Centre in Alforde Street, Widnes on Wednesdays from 12.00noon to 2.00 pm – just follow the sound of laughter!

Runcorn Open Arms Club

Runcorn Open Arms Club meets weekly at Runcorn Sports club, Moughland Lane, Runcorn, every Tuesday from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm and again this group is open to anyone who’s life has been touched by cancer.


Make-it-Mondays is an informal craft group which runs each Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) from 11am.  So if you’d like to have a go at something creative why not call into The Centre and join in with this friendly group?  New members are always welcome.

Sam’s Diamonds

Sam’s Diamonds is a new group that supports ladies 18+ and who are young at heart, as they go through treatment for cancer. It is for survivors and fighters who are within 3 years of a cancer diagnosis, those who refuse to let cancer stop them in their tracks. If cancer has chosen you and your not willing to stop living your life whilst going through treatment, this group is for you!
